The Invasive Asian Tiger Mosquito (Aedes Albopictus)

The invasive animal that I am studying about is called the Asian Tiger Mosquito. Its scientific name is Aedes Albopictus. This bug is a invasive animal because its from Asia and it invaded Hawaii. They are bad because they carry viruses and diseases, like the west Nile virus. That can kill you.
Asian Tiger Mosquito

This bug was originally from Asia, and the bug invaded Hawaii in the late 1800's. They came into the U.S by tires that have been imported from Japan. The Asian Tiger Mosquito can cause viruses and diseases  which is why they are a problem to the U.S. They are trying to get rid of the mosquitoes by trying to reduce their nests and trying reduce the mosquito eggs. They do that by reduce moist areas around your house and yard.

The Invasive Kudzu (Pueraria Montana)

The Invasive plant that i am studying about is the Kudzu, its scientific name is Pueraria Montana. Its a invasive species because it from Asia, not from the U.S. Its a plant  that crowds out the native species. So this plant grows super fast and takes up a bunch of land.

The plant called Kudzu is naturally from Asia where they have wonderlands of this plant. This plant first invaded Georgia, and this plant pretty much is everywhere now. It was promoted by the government because they said it could reduce erosion. The problems it causes is, it covers the native plants and trees, and they don't let them get any sunlight so they can grow too. The U.S is trying to get rid of the Kudzu by pouring chemicals on them. The chemical is called Tordon K. The chemical is also killing plants and trees, since it is very toxic.
